About me
After spending 8 years working in fashion in Amsterdam, I decided to follow my dream and make a new start as an Interior Designer in Madrid.
Ever since I was a child, I felt a strong passion for fashion and design. I grew up in an entrepreneurial family and in our family home there was always something new to decorate. After finishing my Bachelor´s degree at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute I worked for 8 years at different (international) fashion brands in Amsterdam as a Product Developer. I loved working in a team on creative designs every single day. But in the mass fashion industry I was missing the personal connection with my customers and the time to fully understand my customers wishes to translate this into a personal product.
When I moved into a new home in Madrid, I felt how much energy it gives me to decorate a new house. I also realized how important it is to make a new house feel like a real home. But it can bring along quite some stress too, especially when you just arrive in a new city.
Therefore, I decided I can help others who struggle a little with this or who simply would like to get inspired in the process of decorating their home.
I used my move to Madrid to make a new start professionally too – and Casa Elodie was born. In the last 1,5 years I have been helping different clients to decorate their new homes, to brainstorm on ideas for large reconstructions and bring it into a concrete plan, to bring together different styles into 1 room, or simply to refresh their home.
As an interior designer I can combine my passion for design and fashion with my ability to listen carefully to my customer to truly understand your wishes and translate this into your dream home. I have a creative eye for color, shapes and material which helps me to make small recommendations that have a big impact in your home. And with my background in fashion, I have extensive experience to drive the full process from a creative idea into a concrete end-product, while keeping the strong personal connection to my customers at the core of my work.
